Childhood and Early Career
Born in Marseilles, France, the young footballer began his professional career at the renowned Olympique de Marseille. He went on to represent Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Rouen, and finally ended his playing days at Beziers.
Playing Career Highlights
As a player, he reached the pinnacle of French football by winning the Ligue 1 title with Olympique de Marseille in 1971/72 and the Coupe de France in 1975/76.
Transition to Coaching
While still an active player at Rouen, he assumed the role of player-manager. His subsequent coaching appointments included stints at Beziers, Bordeaux's reserve team, Epernay, and La Roche-sur-Yon.
Club Successes in France and North Africa
From 1993 to 1996, he served as an assistant coach at Olympique Lyonnais. He later coached Toulon and worked as a sporting director at Amiens. From 2000 to 2002, he combined the roles of coach and general manager at Martigues. In 2003, he embarked on a coaching career in North Africa, leading clubs such as Constantine, MC Alger, Olympique Khouribga, FUS, Difaa, and Club Africain. He notably won the Algerian Championship with MC Alger in 2009/10, the Algerian Cup with Constantine in 2005/06, and the Algerian Super Cup also with Constantine in 2006.
International Career
From 1973 to 1982, the defender represented the French national team, earning 18 caps and featuring in the 1978 FIFA World Cup.
