Francesco Cattalinich, born in 1891 as Frane Katalinić in Zadar, Austro-Hungary, was an Italian rower who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics for Italy.

Croatian Roots

Born into a Croatian family, Frane Katalinić's life took an unexpected turn when Zadar became part of Italy after World War I. Consequently, his name was Italianized to Francesco Cattalinich.
