Early Life and EducationPortia McGee was born on March 9, 1979, in Seattle, Washington. She attended The Bush School and subsequently graduated from Brown University.
Introduction to Rowing
Inspired by her mother and older sister, Portia began rowing in 1992 at the Mt. Baker Rowing Club. Her passion for the sport was ignited by her experienced coaches and the camaraderie she found with her teammates.

Portia quickly rose through the ranks of rowing, achieving notable success in several major competitions. Her accomplishments include:
