Early Life and Education

Portia McGee was born on March 9, 1979, in Seattle, Washington. She attended The Bush School and subsequently graduated from Brown University.

Introduction to Rowing

Inspired by her mother and older sister, Portia began rowing in 1992 at the Mt. Baker Rowing Club. Her passion for the sport was ignited by her experienced coaches and the camaraderie she found with her teammates.
