Early Creative Endeavors

Swiss film scholar Michel Soutter initially pursued original creative pursuits. In 1948, he co-authored the play "Les Faux Nez" with Charles Apothéloz. Seven years later, he released the poetry collection "Contre-chants."

Prolific Writer on Cinema

Soutter's career transitioned to writing extensively about cinema. He produced numerous monographs on esteemed directors such as Daniel Schmid, Luis Buñuel, and Michel Mitrani.
