Biography of Gabriel Panayotides

Gabriel Panayotides, a Greek businessman, is the owner of the major company "TORM". Born in 1954 in Greece, he graduated from the University of Piraeus with a bachelor's degree in economics. Known as a prominent Greek shipowner, Panayotides has been involved in the management of the company "Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd." since 1978, currently holding the positions of Chairman of the Board and CEO. He is also a member of the Greek committee "Bureau Veritas" and serves on the Board of Directors of "D/S Torm", a company specializing in water transportation.

Family

Gabriel Panayotides' wife is the Vice President of "Excel Maritime Carriers Ltd." since March 2006. She graduated from university shortly before taking on this position and quickly rose to a managerial role. Mrs. Panayotides holds a degree from Boston University and has completed a training course at the City University of Trade and Finance in London. Their son, Ismin, is the Vice President of the company.
