Gal Gadot was born in 1985 in the Israeli city of Rosh HaAyin, Israel. She is an Israeli actress and model. At the age of 18, Gal won the Israeli national beauty pageant and was crowned "Miss Israel". She later participated in the Miss Universe contest held in Ecuador, but was unable to secure the title. After not making it to the Top 15, Gal returned to Israel and began working as a model.

In 2007, Gal gained attention when she was featured in the magazine "Maxim" as part of the project "Women of the Israeli army", which focused on Israeli models who served in the military.
