Biography of Galina Shkoda

Galina Shkoda is an actress, singer, and presenter. She was born on February 28, 1990, in Kishinev, Moldova. Her mother's name is Oksana Grigorievna Shkoda (nee Poberezhnaya) and her father is Sergey Vitalievich Shkoda.

Galina completed her primary education at the D. Kantemir Mathematical Lyceum. From 2005 to 2009, she studied at the Kishinev City Theater Lyceum. During her years of study, she participated in productions by the Kishinev Municipal Youth Drama Theater "From the Street of Roses" and played leading roles in musicals and plays such as "Ali-Baba" (Fatima), "The Ugly Duckling" (Swan), "The Snow Queen" (Robber Girl), "Valentin and Valentina" (Zhenya), and "The Wedding" by A.P. Chekhov (Mother, Nastasya Timofeevna), among others. It was during this time that she also started vocal training with a highly qualified teacher, L.I. Lozhkina, and became one of the soloists in the dance ensemble "Energizer".

For more than two years, Galina was the host of the music program "TOP-7" on the channel "MUZ TV" Moldova. In 2008, she enrolled in the Department of Pop Vocal at the R.M. Glier Kyiv Institute of Music.

In 2008 and 2009, Galina took part in the Moldovan national selection tours for Eurovision. In 2008, she ranked third in the overall vote count and first in the points given by the television jury. Since 2009, she has been an actress at the Kyiv Youth Musical Theater "Comme il faut". She is the winner of seven Grand Prix awards at various music competitions and festivals, including the Republican Contest "Ploaya de Stele" in Kishinev, Moldova (2006), the International Contest "Nadezhda Atikva" in Kyiv, Ukraine (2006), the International Vocal Festival-Competition "Krshtaleviy Zhaivir" in Ternopil, Ukraine (2007), and the International Vocal Contest "Moloda Galichina" in Novoyavorivsk, Ukraine (2007), among others.

Galina has also achieved second and third places at various competitions, including the International Vocal Contest "Zvezda Elata" in Kishinev, Moldova (2006), and the International Vocal Contest "Pesni Mira" in Kishinev, Moldova (2008). She has received numerous awards for her participation in charitable concerts in Moldova. In 2005, she was a member of the Moldovan delegation that participated in a festival dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Hans Christian Andersen's death in Denmark. In 2009, she was a guest at the international festival "Zyamlya pod belymi krylami" in Mozyr, Belarus.
