Early Life and Education
Born in Ukraine, the future politician joined the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1953. In 1953, he graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Automation and Telemechanics.
Political Career
In 1955, he began his political career. From 1964 to 1980, he served as the First Secretary of the Lviv City Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (CPU). Subsequently, from 1980 to 1990, he held the position of First Secretary of the Zakarpattia Regional Committee of the CPU.
Parliamentary Service
In 1984, he became a member of the Council of the Union of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR from the Zakarpattia region. He served in this role until 1989.

- Two Orders of the Red Banner of Labor

Personal Life
He was married to Izoolda Konstantinovna and had two children: Irina and Alexander (born 1959, a Ukrainian historian).
Retirement and Later Years
In 1990, he retired from political life. After battling a prolonged illness, he passed away and was laid to rest at the Uzhhorod "Kalvaria" Cemetery.
