In 1938, Gene Tierney returned to the United States and enrolled in Miss Porter's School. During this time, she visited Warner Bros. studio and caught the attention of director Anatole Litvak, who was impressed by her beauty. He immediately offered her a contract, which she initially accepted but later declined due to her parents' objections to the unstable and low-paying profession.

However, Tierney's passion for acting persisted, and her parents eventually agreed that she should pursue her artistic dreams. In the late 1930s, she made her Broadway debut. In 1939, she signed a contract with Columbia Pictures, marking the beginning of her film career. Tierney went on to receive numerous awards and even earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Unfortunately, Gene Tierney suffered from severe mental health issues, which began to surface in the mid-1950s.
