From a Family of Strongmen

Georges Christen, born in Luxembourg, has been traveling extensively around the world in recent years, showcasing his amazing skills and strength. It is said that he comes from a family of hereditary strongmen, with his grandfather playfully tearing apart thick telephone directories by hand. Christen surpassed his grandfather's abilities at a young age, starting by bending nails and iron bars with his hands. Soon, it became evident that he possessed incredibly strong teeth and jaws, which allowed him to perform miraculous feats. His first record involved bending 250 nails in 73 minutes. In 1984, he surpassed his own record by bending 269 nails in just one hour. Following nails, playing cards became his next challenge, and he was able to tear a deck of 120 cards, which became an official Guinness World Record.

From Hobby to Profession

Christen's hobby quickly turned into a profession, and he began earning a living through his performances. To entertain his audience, he had to come up with new and captivating tricks. This led him to incorporate telephone directories, just as his grandfather had done in the past. Christen humorously remarked that he wished there was something thicker to tear apart. Although there is the Larousse French dictionary, he considered it sacrilegious to tear such a valuable book, not to mention an expensive pleasure.

Achievements and Records

On August 18, 1985, to the astonishment and admiration of the public, Christen pulled a 22-ton wagon with his teeth for a distance of 110 meters. When someone expressed doubt that he had not pulled it uphill, Christen proved them wrong by pulling it back using the same path. In September 1987, he garnered worldwide attention when he prevented a 'Cessna' aircraft from taking off by gripping it with his teeth. One of his notable acts involves lifting a table, with a fully grown woman sitting on it, using only his teeth. This trick amazed the audience and was performed during his circus's anniversary program. Over the years, Georges Christen has become a Guinness World Record holder at least 23 times. His records include pulling a bus and a truck with his teeth, as well as pulling a 100-ton ship upstream. Later, he managed to hold not only two but three light aircraft with his teeth and hands. It is known that Christen is fluent in English, French, and German. In his homeland of Luxembourg, he is considered a national hero.

Continued Ambition

Even when Christen turned 50, he had no intention of stopping his remarkable feats. On the contrary, he had ambitious plans for his life. He claims that he cannot imagine his life without his tricks. Despite his tremendous strength, Christen has never engaged in weightlifting or bodybuilding. He is a vegetarian and actively promotes vegetarianism. He willingly interacts with his fans and occasionally allows himself to joke around. For example, during a visit to an auto show, Christen decided to examine a car that caught his eye and 'accidentally' tore off its bumper.

An Unbeatable Feat

Although Christen has accomplished numerous astonishing tricks, he considers tearing a deck of cards his most challenging feat. The size of the cards is so small that it prevents him from getting a good grip. Despite this difficulty, no one has been able to surpass his record so far.

A Kind-hearted Joker

Friends and acquaintances know Georges Christen as an always cheerful and humorous individual. Those who have attended his shows always enjoy the warm and relaxed atmosphere that he creates.
