George Laraque is a professional Canadian hockey player, known for his exceptional skills as a winger, particularly as one of the best enforcers in the history of the NHL. He was selected by the Edmonton Oilers as the 31st overall pick in the 1995 NHL Draft.

Professional Career

After being chosen by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1995 NHL Draft, Laraque played for the team until July 5, 2006, when he signed a contract with the Phoenix Coyotes as an unrestricted free agent. However, his time with the Coyotes was short-lived as he was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins on February 27, 2007.

During the 2007-2008 season, Laraque played a pivotal role in helping the Penguins reach the Stanley Cup Finals, although they ultimately lost to the Detroit Red Wings. Following that season, Laraque decided to leave the Penguins and joined the Montreal Canadiens.
