Georgy Frumker is a Russian-speaking humorist well-known to the Russian community in America and Canada for his work on radio and television, as well as his publications in magazines such as "Vestnik", "Playboy", "Okay", and newspapers like "Russian Bazaar", "Russian Shop", "New Russian Word", "Russian Accent", "Resonance", and "Jewish World", among others. He was born in 1947 in Kiev. Frumker's creative career began as the author of the 16th page of the "Literary Newspaper" in the "TES" section, which focused on etymology and dictionary explanations. This genre has become quite rare, but it was popular 30-35 years ago.
In the early 1970s, a Belarusian humoristic magazine published a collection of works by Georgy Frumker under a different name. This incident led to a hiatus in his literary activities. In 1978, Georgy Frumker emigrated to the United States, where he has been residing ever since. After some time, he resumed his creative work. In early 2002, the publishing house "EKSMO" released the most comprehensive collection of his works from different years.
