Protopriest: A Man of Faith and Inspiration
Early Life and EducationBorn on December 10, 1977, into a family of civil servants, the future Protopriest grew up with two siblings. In 2000, he graduated from the Kherson State Pedagogical University with a degree in geography and biology. His spiritual journey began at the age of fourteen, and he was ordained to the priesthood in June 1998.
Ecclesiastical Service in Donbas
In 2004, he relocated to Donetsk and became a clergyman at the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral. A year later, he was appointed rector of the Church of St. Ignatius. From 2012 onwards, he also served as rector of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos parish in Donetsk.
Press Office of the Donetsk Diocese
The Protopriest serves as press secretary for the Donetsk Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, reporting to Mitropolitian Hilarion. He also heads the diocese's Information and Education Department, which oversees various media outlets.
Media and Television
A prolific publisher and editor, the Protopriest leads a team that produces several Orthodox magazines and newspapers, including "Living Spring," "My Joy," and "Donbas Orthodox." He is also the chief editor and host of the television program "Road to the Temple," which airs on both local and national channels.
Family and Personal Life
Married and a father of three children, the Protopriest is a dedicated family man. His tireless service to the Church and the community has earned him recognition and respect among the faithful in the Donbas region.
