Early Life and Football CareerGeorgy Bushchan, a renowned Ukrainian goalkeeper, was born in Odessa. Despite his initial interest in swimming, Bushchan developed a passion for football, idolizing Andriy Shevchenko and aspiring to be a striker. However, due to his height, he was encouraged to play as a defender. Displeased with that position, Bushchan asserted his desire to be a goalkeeper.
Youth Career and Selection
Bushchan's exceptional performances in the DYuFL caught the attention of Ukrainian national youth team coaches and scouts from prominent clubs, including Dynamo Kyiv and Metalist Kharkiv. After initially leaning towards Metalist, Bushchan ultimately chose Dynamo Kyiv, a decision that seemed surreal at the time.

Bushchan was first listed in Dynamo Kyiv's senior team in 2011 but did not make an appearance.
International Career
Youth and Junior TeamsBushchan represented Ukraine at various youth levels, debuting for the U-19s in 2013 and the U-21s in 2014.

In 2020, Bushchan was called up to the senior national team after a series of COVID-19 infections among goalkeepers. Despite Ukraine's heavy defeat to France in his debut, Bushchan impressed in subsequent matches against Germany and Spain. He was included in the squad for Euro 2020.
