Early Career and Loan Spells
Alex Calderoni began his footballing journey at Cesena, but despite being on the roster, he failed to make an appearance for the first team. He was subsequently loaned out to Serie C2 side Forlì. Upon his return to Cesena, he only featured once before departing for Alzano Virescit, where he played a pivotal role in their promotion to Serie B.
Moves to Ravenna and Monza
In 2000, Calderoni moved to Ravenna but struggled for playing time. Midway through the season, he was loaned to Monza.
Breakthrough at Atalanta
In 2001, Calderoni joined Serie A club Atalanta. However, he did not make an appearance in his first season. It was not until the 2002-2003 campaign that he made his debut against Inter Milan. His breakthrough came in the 2004-2005 season, where he became a regular for Atalanta and impressed with his performances.
Transfers to Treviso and Torino
In the summer of 2007, Calderoni transferred to Treviso. A year later, on July 11, 2008, he signed a contract with Torino.
