Biography of Giacomo Celentano

Giacomo Celentano is a singer, actor, and the son of the popular Italian singer and actor, Adriano Celentano, and his wife, the renowned Italian actress and singer, Claudia Mori. Like his parents and his sisters, Rosita and Rosalinda, he is also an actor and singer. He writes and performs his own songs, known in Italy under the pseudonym Giacomo Gabriele.

After finishing school, Giacomo joined the army, and then worked in various jobs before enrolling at the European Institute of Design. His mother, Claudia Mori, initially discouraged him from following in their footsteps, but after the release of Giacomo's first album, "Fast Music," she agreed that he should try his hand in the industry. Following in his father's footsteps, he decided to participate in the Sanremo Festival in the following year, 2009, when he would be 32 years old (the same age Adriano Celentano was when he won the competition in Sanremo).
