Biography of Giuseppe Ferreri
Giuseppe Gaetana Ferreri, better known as Giuzi Ferreri, is an Italian singer and songwriter. She gained recognition as a contestant on the first season of the Italian version of the popular television show 'X Factor', where she finished in second place.
Early Career and Success
In June 2008, Ferreri released her first EP, which was produced by 'Sony BMG Italy'. The EP included her debut single 'Non ti Scordsar mai di me', written by Italian pop singer Tiziano Ferro, as well as five cover versions of classic songs from the 60s and 70s. The single topped the Italian charts for an impressive 15 weeks and is still considered one of the most successful singles in Italian music history. The EP itself also reached the top of the national charts and was certified quadruple platinum.
Album Releases
In October 2008, Ferreri released her debut album 'Gaetana', which debuted at number one on the 'iTunes Italy' chart and reached the second position on the 'Italian FIMI' album chart. The album sold over 80,000 copies on its first day and has sold over 390,000 copies in Italy and Greece to date. The album's second single, 'Stai fermo li', was released in January 2009 with moderate success.
In November 2009, Ferreri released her second album 'Fotografie', which debuted at number 10 on the 'Italian FIMI' album chart. The album featured several cover versions of popular Italian and international songs. The first single, a cover of 'Ma il cielo è sempre più blu' by Rino Gaetano, achieved moderate success.
