Childhood

Arystan Abilghin Assetovich, known as Colorit, was born on August 17, 2002 in Karaganda, Kazakhstan, into a musical family. His father, a jazz musician and founder of the ensemble Shindauyl, and his mother, a music college choir director, fostered his talent from an early age. At two years old, Arystan's aptitude for music became apparent when he effortlessly played complex melodies on the piano.

Musical Education

At 3.5, Arystan was enrolled in music school, where he studied piano and drums. He excelled in various percussion instruments, from drums to vibraphones. He later attended the Astana Music College to pursue classical music and become a conductor. However, a missed assignment during the holidays resulted in his expulsion and return to Karaganda.

Musical Awakening

After graduating high school, Arystan enrolled in art college as a drummer. He initially gravitated towards jazz, funk, and R&B, influenced by his father's music. However, M'Dee's song "Dozhd" sparked his realization that quality music could be created in Kazakhstan.

Music Career

In 2018, Arystan began experimenting with contemporary music. He recorded tracks at his father's studio and shared them on Instagram. His cover of The Limba's "Obmanula" caught the attention of the artist himself, motivating Arystan to pursue songwriting.

Participating in a covers contest for Jah Khalib's song "911," Arystan surprised himself by winning with 1,500 votes. Leveraging his newfound popularity, he released original compositions under the name The Simba, but they failed to gain traction.

Evolution and Breakthrough

In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Arystan adopted the stage name Coloritand relaunched his social media profiles. He focused on romantic, soft music, experimenting with using audio messages from followers as the basis for songs.

Colorit's cover of Jony's "Pustota" went viral on TikTok, boosting his popularity. Collaborations with Shami, Rauf & Faik, and Clean Bandit further cemented his status as a talented vocalist.

Professional Connections

Recognizing Colorit's talent, several labels expressed interest. He ultimately partnered with Pervoye Muzykal'noye Izdatel'stvo, working with artists such as Zivert, Monatik, and Ivan Dorn.

Personal Life

Colorit is currently single but open to meeting new people. He places importance on genuine connections and values conversations and compatibility over physical appearances.

Current Projects

On December 11, 2020, Colorit released his single "Zakat," inspired by the autumn sunset outside his window. He plans to release a debut album, for which he is developing a concept, story, and style.

Colorit considers relocating to Russia or another major Kazakhstani city for professional growth. He believes that releasing original music and developing his voice is crucial for long-term success.
