Greg Valentine, also known as The Hammer, is an American professional wrestler. He was born on September 20, 1950, in Seattle, Washington, USA. As a teenager, Greg often traveled with his father, who was a famous wrestler named Johnny Valentine, to various wrestling shows. Inspired by his father, Greg decided to pursue a career in wrestling and dropped out of school. Initially, his father was against it, but eventually accepted his decision and sent him to Canada in 1970 to learn the rules of the sport.

In the same year, Greg had his first match against a wrestler known as King Kong. In the mid-1970s, Valentine adopted the moniker The Hammer and began actively competing in Florida. He then went on to wrestle in Los Angeles and Japan in 1976. In the summer of 1976, Greg Valentine made his debut in the Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling organization and later joined the National Wrestling Alliance. He formed a tag team with Ric Flair, with whom he won the NWA World Tag Team Championships twice and participated in the NWA Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship.

In November 1978, Valentine joined the World Wide Wrestling Federation and had a draw with the WWWF heavyweight champion Bob Backlund a year later. By the end of 1979, Greg Valentine returned to Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling and competed in the organization until 1984. He then transitioned to the World Wrestling Federation and immediately participated in the WWF Intercontinental Championship, defeating Tito Santana.

Throughout his career, Valentine achieved numerous victories and accolades, each accompanied by a remarkable performance and excellent wrestling skills. In the year 2000, he began gradually reducing the number of matches he competed in, dedicating more time to his real estate ventures.

Presently, Greg Valentine is a family man. On February 14, 1995, he married a woman named Julie. He has two daughters, Vanessa and Romaine, from a previous marriage.
