Early Life and EducationGregg Sulkin, born on May 29, 1992, in London, England, is a Jewish actor of both Sephardic and Ashkenazi descent. His bar mitzvah was held in Jerusalem at the Western Wall. Little is known about his parents, but he has an older brother named Grant. Sulkin attended Highgate School in North London. In his childhood, he aspired to become a professional soccer player, but a severe knee injury at the age of 13 shattered his dreams. Despite his passion for sports, Sulkin first appeared on stage at nine in a school play, cross-dressing as a girl.
Acting Career
Sulkin's acting career began when his mother encouraged him to attend a casting audition. Although he initially had no interest in acting, he impressed the producers with his talent and appearance. His debut came in the 2002 television miniseries "Doctor Zhivago." He then landed a role in the 2006 comedy film "Sixty Six."
In 2008, Sulkin joined the cast of the popular Disney Channel show "Wizards of Waverly Place" as Mason, Alex Russo's love interest. The series ran for four seasons and spawned a full-length film. Sulkin has been open about his multiple relationships and active personal life. He dated American actress Yvette Monreal in 2005, British singer Pixie Lott and actress Britt Robertson in 2010, and actresses Debby Ryan and Samantha Boscarino prior to that.
From 2015 to 2017, he was in a relationship with "Wizards of Waverly Place" co-star Bella Thorne. They remained friends after their breakup, occasionally making public appearances together. However, they have since decided not to rekindle their romance. Thorne later came out as bisexual, stating, "I'm bisexual."
In 2017, Sulkin was rumored to be dating Australian model Sahara Ray, daughter of famous surfer Tony Ray, but both parties declined to comment. In 2018, he surprised many by starting a relationship with Sistine Stallone, the 19-year-old daughter of Sylvester Stallone.
