Early Life and Education
Grigoriy Lipich was born on December 1, 1972, in the town of Lyuboml, Ukraine. In 1994, he graduated from the Faculty of Cybernetics at Taras Shevchenko University in Kyiv.
Business Endeavors
During his university years, Lipich ventured into the business of assembling personal computers. In 1995, he co-founded "BIT Ukraine" with fellow students and representatives of BIT Software (Moscow). The company was renamed ABBYY Ukraine in 1997.
ABBYY Career
Under Lipich's leadership, ABBYY's business grew in Ukraine, Central and Eastern Europe, and the Mediterranean region. In 2004, he took charge of the FineReader project at ABBYY's headquarters.
In 2005, Lipich was appointed General Director of ABBYY Russia, responsible for marketing, promotion, and sales of ABBYY's product line in Russia and the CIS region.
Industry Expertise
Lipich is a renowned expert in optical character recognition (OCR) and electronic document management (EDM) systems. He has authored numerous scientific publications and is a recognized speaker at conferences worldwide.
Conference Leadership
Since 2005, Lipich has led the organizational committee for the DOCFLOW conference-exhibition, shaping the event's program and format.
Personal Life
Lipich is married and has two children. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, photography, playing sports, and motorcycle racing.
