Gunay Gunduz - A Third Generation Beekeeper

Gunay Gunduz, a resident of Turkey, is a third-generation beekeeper who knows everything about honey. He can easily and quickly determine the type of honey, its composition, and its value. Trying to deceive him in this field is simply impossible. The honey produced by Gunay's family is perhaps the best honey in the world. At least, no other honey can compare to its price. The product sold by Gunduz can compete with precious metals and gemstones because the price for a kilogram of this amber-colored product is almost absurd - 5,000 euros or 6,800 dollars. However, according to Gunay himself, the current price has significantly dropped compared to the initial sales. In 2009, the first kilogram of this honey, known as "Elf Honey," was sold in France for 45,000 euros. The French thoroughly analyzed its composition in the laboratory and recognized this honey as perfect - rich in minerals and a very pure product.

A Decrease in Price

The second sale took place a year later, and this time the Chinese were interested in the Elf Honey. They paid a lower price of 28,000 euros per kilogram. Today, Gunay Gunduz can no longer demand the "real" price for his product - he has to sell it for only 5,000 euros.

A Unique Product

The honey is sold in bottles of 170 and 250 grams, and there are buyers who are willing to pay the price. By the way, it is unlikely that anyone who buys this amazing honey is unaware that its price is comparable to that of a small new car. However, tastes differ, and for some people, it is genuinely important to consume perfect products (which are becoming increasingly scarce in nature). Gunay discovered his honey in one of the caves in northeastern Turkey. He had to descend to a depth of 1,800 meters, learning mountaineering skills and hiring several professionals to help him. But it was worth it - the honey found on the cave walls turned out to be one of the best and purest ecologically-friendly honeys in the world.

Gunay Gunduz's Disappointment

In general, Gunay Gunduz is disappointed with the price of honey on the global market. He is convinced that various counterfeit products are simply ruining the value of genuine honey. The honey expert claims that real, high-quality honey cannot cost less than 15 euros per kilogram. Although this price may seem high to the average buyer, it is still reasonable. On the other hand, the honey offered by Gunay is truly elite, and one can only speculate about who can afford a jar of honey for 5,000 euros.
