Gulhar Gasanova, renowned as a People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR, was born on December 10, 1918, in the village of Bairamly in the Shamkir region. Her artistic journey began in 1935 when she enrolled at the Baku Theater Technical School, where she studied until 1937. Her pursuit of knowledge continued as she later graduated from the Azerbaijan State Institute in 1959.
Professional Career
Gasanova's illustrious career in theater commenced in 1936 at the Azerbaijan Youth Theater. In 1942, with the support of the legendary Uzeyir Hajibeyov, she joined the Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theater. On stage, she captivated audiences with her portrayal of multifaceted female characters. From 1980 onwards, she also shared her knowledge as a teacher.
