Early Life and Acting Debut
Hannah Cheramy was born on July 13, 2003, in Vancouver, Canada, to Terry and Louie Cheramy. From a young age, she displayed a passion for performing, hosting shows for her family and friends. Her father's love of hockey and fishing instilled in her a similar enthusiasm for sports, leading her to join her school's soccer team and go fishing.
At the age of seven, Cheramy began participating in local children's theater productions. At 11, she gained an agent, who paved her path into the film industry. After two years of persistence, her mother arranged a fateful dinner with an acquaintance whose best friend was a talent agent. Within the first year, Cheramy landed numerous commercials and her debut film role, playing Olivia in "Child of Darkness" (2017).
Film Career
Cheramy's breakthrough film, "Child of Darkness," earned her a Leo Award nomination. Prior to its release, she appeared in "October Kiss," "My Sweet Audrina," and "Summer Love." In "My Girl Monster," she portrayed the younger version of Anne Hathaway's character.
From 2016 to 2021, Cheramy starred in "Van Helsing," despite balancing her acting career with school. With a tutor on set and no dip in her grades, she successfully juggled both commitments.
Recent Projects
In 2022, Cheramy returned to television in the sci-fi horror series "From," alongside Harold Perrineau and Catalina Sandino Moreno. She also starred in the feature-length film "Under Wraps." Currently, she is a student at Douglas College in British Columbia, where she continues to pursue her acting aspirations.
