Early Life and Education

Charles Athanase Walckenaer was born in Paris, France in 1771. His early education took him to the University of Glasgow and Oxford, where he pursued his academic interests.

Scientific Contributions

Walckenaer made significant contributions to the fields of entomology and arachnology. He was a pioneer in the study of insects and arachnids, particularly spiders. His research and writings on these subjects earned him recognition as a leading authority.

Academic and Institutional Affiliations
