Hassan Akhmyamov: A Soldier's Life

Early Life and Service

Hassan Akhmyamov was born on July 10, 1925, in the village of Allaguvat, Bashkortostan. After completing seven years of education, he worked at the Karl Marx Collective Farm. In February 1944, he was drafted into the Soviet Army.

Valorous Actions

Akhmyamov served as a private in the 1st Company of the 857th Rifle Regiment. On the battlefield, he distinguished himself with exceptional bravery.

Heroism and Sacrifice

On July 13, 1944, Akhmyamov's unit faced fierce resistance from German forces in Romania. Despite overwhelming odds, Akhmyamov charged into battle, taking out enemy machine guns and leading his comrades in a successful assault. However, he was fatally wounded in the midst of the fighting.

Honor and Legacy

Recognition of Valor

For his heroic actions, Hassan Akhmyamov was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union on September 13, 1944.

Burial and Memorial

Akhmyamov was laid to rest in the Romanian village of Rediul-Aldei, north of the city of Iași. His name is inscribed on memorials to fallen soldiers both in his hometown and at the site of his burial.
