Early Life and Education

Born in Dagestan

Magomedkarim Magomedov was born on April 22, 1942, in the village of Ratlub, Dagestan.

Childhood in Chechnya

Due to the deportation of the Chechen population in 1944, Magomedov spent his childhood in Chechnya.

Academic Pursuit

In 1960, Magomedov enrolled in the history faculty at Dagestan State University. However, he soon transferred to the acting faculty of the Rustaveli Georgian Theater Institute, where he graduated in 1964. He later obtained a degree in directing from the same institute and completed the Higher Directing Courses at GITIS in Moscow.

Career in Theater

Main Director at Avar State Musical-Dramatic Theater

Since 1971, Magomedov has held the position of Main Director at the Avar State Musical-Dramatic Theater named after Gamzat Tsadasa in the Republic of Dagestan.
