Héctor Delgado: The Reggaeton Pioneer

Early Career

Héctor Delgado, known by his stage names Héctor "El Father" and Héctor "El Bambino," began his music career in the early 1990s as part of the group Masters Of Funk alongside Julio Voltio and Rey 29. Despite the group's success, they failed to release an album.

Héctor y Tito

Delgado's breakthrough came when he teamed up with Tito to form the duo Héctor y Tito (Los Bambinos). The duo became one of the most successful and influential in reggaeton history, paving the way for other artists in the genre.

Solo Career

Following the split of Héctor y Tito, Delgado embarked on a solo career that was both brief and highly successful. He quickly established himself as one of the top performers in reggaeton.

Retirement from Music

In 2008, Delgado stunned his fans by announcing his decision to leave the music industry and pursue a religious path. The catalyst for his departure was a series of personal setbacks.

El Father as a Producer

Beyond his own music, Delgado made a significant impact as a producer. He worked with numerous artists under the moniker El Father (or "El Papa De Los Pollitos"), helping them achieve fame. He collaborated with prominent figures in the reggaeton and Latin American music industries, including Cuban producer Emilio Estefan.
