Héctor Moreno: Mexican Footballing Legend

Early Career

Héctor Alfredo Moreno Herrera, a Mexican football legend, began his journey as a 15-year-old with Pumas UNAM's youth academy. Following his triumph with the Mexican U-17 team at the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Cup, he joined the Pumas senior squad.

European Adventure

In 2007, Moreno embarked on a European adventure, becoming the fifth Mexican defender to play in a major European league when he joined Dutch club AZ. He later moved to Spanish side Espanyol in 2011.

Further European Success

Moreno's transfer to PSV Eindhoven in 2015 marked a return to the Netherlands. In 2017, he joined the Italian giants AS Roma, where he spent several years before leaving in 2021.

International Career

Moreno's international debut came in 2010 under coach Javier Aguirre. He has since become a mainstay in the Mexican national team, showcasing his defensive prowess and contributing to many successful campaigns.
