Henri Jules was born in Paris as the son of Louis II de Bourbon, Prince de Condé. He received an exceptional education, which laid the foundation for his future accomplishments.

In 1686, Henri Jules became the 5th Prince of Condé, a highly esteemed rank in the French monarchy. He also held the titles of 1st Prince of the Blood, 5th Duke of Enghien, and 3rd Duke of Montmorency. In 1688, his titles expanded to include the 2nd Duke of Bourbon and 1st Duke of Guise.
Personal Life
On December 11, 1663, Henri Jules married Anne of Bavaria, Princess Palatine. Their marriage produced ten children, including Marie Thérèse, the titular Queen of Poland; Henri, the Duke of Bourbon; and Louis, the Duke of Bourbon and Prince of Condé.
