Biography of Henry Hodges
Henry Hodges is an American actor and singer. He was born in Bethesda, Maryland to Jane and James Hodges. His grandfather was also involved in acting at a young age, although his fame was limited to Kent, England.
Early Career
Hodges started his acting career at the age of 4 and played the role of Tiny Tim in the Ford's Theatre production of "A Christmas Carol" at the age of 8. He later joined the Kennedy Center theater group for two seasons before returning to Ford's Theatre. Hodges gained recognition when he played the role of Chip in the "Beauty and the Beast" production by Disney. He toured the United States for seven months with the role and later performed on Broadway.
Success on Broadway
In 2005, Hodges won the role of Jeremy Potts in "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and became the first person to play the character on Broadway. He received critical acclaim for his performance and gained attention through advertisements for the production. Hodges continued to find success on Broadway, including his notable role as Michael Banks in the Broadway version of "Mary Poppins," where he showcased his exceptional acting skills at the age of 14.
Voice Acting and Writing
In addition to his theatrical roles, Hodges is also involved in voice acting. He has lent his voice to various commercials and has had notable roles in Disney movies such as "Snow Buddies" and its sequel "Space Buddies."
