Early Life and Education

Rolf Beck, a renowned German conductor, began his musical journey at the esteemed Cologne University of Music under the tutelage of Günter Wand.

Choral and Orchestral Foundations

In 1968, Beck founded the Chur C?lnischer Chor Bonn, which he has directed tirelessly ever since. In 1986, he expanded his legacy by establishing the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn.

Symphony Orchestra Leadership

Beck's conducting career extended to renowned symphony orchestras. From 1973 to 1987, he led the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. He then took the helm of the Halle Philharmonic Orchestra from 1991 to 1998 and the Brandenburg State Symphony Orchestra from 2001 to 2006.

Musical Repertoire

Beck's repertoire is predominantly characterized by classical masterpieces. He holds a particular affinity for the Viennese Romantics, especially Schubert and Brahms, and the exquisite works of Chopin.
