Birth of a Dream-Pop Duo

In 2015, Liverpool's indie-rock band Her's emerged, formed by vocalist and guitarist Stephen Fitzpatrick and bassist and backing vocalist Audun Laading. Hailing from Barrow-in-Furness, England and Kristiansand, Norway, respectively, they met while studying at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.

Early Creations

Their debut track, "Dorothy," saw the light of day on April 7, 2016. The duo made waves at the Green Man independent music festival in 2016. On May 12, 2017, they released the nine-track compilation "Songs of Her's," which received a four-star review from The Skinny.

Critical Acclaim

In 2017, Thomas Smith of NME praised the band's versatility: "Her's... seamlessly 'switch and drift' between sounds, never truly settling on any one genre. It's a maddeningly brilliant approach to their craft, that somehow works."

Debut Album and Recognition

On August 24, 2018, Stephen and Audun released their debut album, "Invitation to Her's," on the Heist or Hit label. The same year, Paste Magazine included them in their list of 15 Must-Know New Liverpool Bands.

Tragic End

On March 27, 2019, tragedy struck. Stephen (24), Audun (25), and their tour manager Trevor Engelbrektson (27) were killed in a horrific car accident on Interstate 10 near Centennial, Arizona. The group had been traveling from Phoenix, Arizona to Santa Ana, California for a scheduled concert.
