Holly Elizabeth Robinson Peete, an American actress, singer, and writer, was born on September 18, 1964, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. She comes from a family deeply connected to show business, as both of her parents were actors. Her father, Matt Robinson, was known to Russian viewers as the first Gordon on "Sesame Street." When Holly was 10 years old, her family relocated to Los Angeles.

Early Life and Education

Holly Robinson Peete attended a prestigious high school, where she found herself surrounded by future stars. Among her classmates were Charlie Sheen, Chad Lowe, and two future teammates of her future husband, Rodney Peete, Junior Turman, and Kate Davis. After high school, Holly pursued higher education at Sarah Lawrence College in New York, where she specialized in psychology and French. She even spent a year studying at the Sorbonne in Paris to further master the language.

Holly Robinson Peete made her first television appearance at the age of 5 in 1969, playing a little girl named Sally in the first episode of "Sesame Street." She gained recognition for her roles in crime dramas such as "21 Jump Street" (1987-1991), "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper" (1992-1997), and the comedy series "For Your Love" (1998-2002). One of her most recent television roles was in the UPN series "Love, Inc.," which lasted only one season due to company mergers. Holly also pursued a singing career and contributed to soundtracks for shows like "21 Jump Street" and "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper" (the latter recorded with R&B quartet En Vogue and D.
