Early Life and EducationHubert Salentin was born on January 15, 1822, in Zülpich, Germany. Despite his childhood passion for art, it was not until the age of twenty-eight that he was able to pursue it as a profession. He enrolled at the Düsseldorf Academy of Arts, where he studied under Adolph Tidemand.
