Hugo Campagnaro
Early CareerHugo Campagnaro is a former Argentinean central defender who began his career with Deportivo Morón in the Argentinean second and third divisions.
European Adventure
In 2002, Campagnaro signed for Serie A side Piacenza. However, the team was relegated to Serie B shortly after his arrival.
Sampdoria and Napoli
On July 4, 2007, Campagnaro joined Sampdoria on a four-year contract. Two years later, on July 10, 2009, he signed a four-year deal with Napoli.
Tragic Accident
On May 7, 2010, Campagnaro suffered a severe injury, fracturing his fibula. On June 9, 2011, he was involved in a tragic car accident that claimed the lives of two female police officers. Campagnaro was discharged from the hospital on June 12.
Honours
Despite his off-field struggles, Campagnaro achieved success on the pitch. He won the Coppa Italia with Napoli in the 2011/12 season.
