Early Life and Career
Ibrahim Koma, a French actor, was born on November 5, 1987, in Paris. His parents were from Mali, and he grew up in the Les Baconnets neighborhood of Antony, a town in the Hauts-de-Seine department. His older brother, Doudou, inspired him to pursue acting from a young age. Koma made his acting debut at the age of 10 in the television series "Commissaire Navarro."
Early Fame and Roles
Koma gained recognition for his role in the soap opera "Sous le soleil" from 2002 to 2008. He also appeared in the comedy-drama "Je veux des vacances!" and several French television series.
International Acclaim
In 2018, Koma starred in the critically acclaimed "Sink or Swim," which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. The same year, he joined the cast of the mystery series "Don't Forget My Girl," based on the novel by Michel Bussi.
"Around the World in 80 Days"
In 2020, Koma was cast as Passepartout in the modern adaptation of Jules Verne's "Around the World in 80 Days." The series, starring David Tennant and Leonie Benesch, premiered in late 2021. Koma portrayed the character as Black for the first time in any adaptation of the novel.
