Early Life and Education
Rustamovwas born on June 29, 1981, in Sumgayit, Azerbaijan. In 1989, he enrolled in School No. 11 in Sumgayit. In 1999, he joined the Faculty of Crystallography, Mineralogy, and Geochemistry at Baku State University.
Media and Marketing Career
BBC World Service and EurosetFrom 2001 to 2002, Rustamov worked as a specialist in the information technology department at BBC World Service Transcaucasus. In 2003, he became the manager of interactive technologies at Euroset, where he developed the interface for the first payment terminal in Russia.
Novart and Loyalty Partners
In 2005, Rustamov founded Novart, a software development company. In 2007, he became the head of the new media department at Loyalty Partners Vostok, where he oversaw the development of digital products for the Malina loyalty program.
Russian Football Premier League and Championat.com
From November to December 2011, Rustamov was the marketing director of the Russian Football Premier League (RFPL). In December 2011, SUP Fabrik, the owner of the popular sports website championat.com, hired Rustamov to lead its marketing division. He proposed a Player of the Year award for the RFPL and Championat.com, which was accepted by both parties.
Liga-TV and Teleport
In March 2013, the RFPL invited Rustamov to head the new media department of its subsidiary, Liga-TV. Liga-TV owned the broadcasting rights to the RFPL and the TV channel Our Football. Rustamov quickly rose to the position of deputy general director of Liga-TV.
In March 2014, Rustamov was removed from his position as deputy general director. In August 2015, after extensive negotiations, he was invited back to Azerbaijan by the Azerbaijan Football Federation to launch a new sports channel.
CBC Sport and Teleport
CBC Sport was launched in October 2015, becoming the second sports channel in Azerbaijan after AzTV. It was also the 11th national TV channel in the country. Due to family reasons, Rustamov returned to Moscow in January 2016.
In 2016, Rustamov became a general producer at Teleport (formerly Sila TV). In 2018, he organized the broadcast of the Olympic Games on Teleport, creating eight channels that broadcast 24/7 with news programs. All disciplines were streamed live.

The record-breaking broadcast of the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor fight in 2017, with over 2.5 million viewers online.
The broadcast of the Olympic Games on Teleport, watched by 33 million people in one month.
The first-ever online 4K broadcast in 2018 (Real Madrid vs. Barcelona), with over 2.4 million concurrent viewers and a total viewership of over 4 million.
Personal Life
Rustamov is married to Irina Milushova, and they have two daughters, Sofia and Adel.
