Born in 1980 in Skadovsk, Ukraine, Illarion Pavlyuk spent his childhood in Russia's Far East before returning home. He graduated from Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University in 2001 with a degree in journalism.

Pavlyuk's media career began in Kyiv as a journalist specializing in the Arab-Israeli conflict. He later joined the documentary and feature project department at the "1+1" television channel as a producer. In 2011, he served as a judge in the 63rd American Emmy Awards and left the channel with his team. He became a co-owner of the production company Ivory Films.

Pavlyuk has authored several documentaries, including "Code of the Nation," "Ordinary Zombies: How Lies Work," and "Azure Dust." His films have explored themes such as societal manipulation and the impact of information warfare.
H2: Literary Success
In 2018, Pavlyuk published his debut novel, "White Ash," a noir crime thriller inspired by Nikolai Gogol's "Viy." His subsequent works include the science fiction novel "Dance of the Moron" (2019) and the psychological thriller "I See You Are Interested in Darkness" (2020). The latter became a bestseller and earned accolades in Ukraine's literary scene.

Pavlyuk fought in the Russo-Ukrainian War in 2015 as a volunteer in the "Harpoon" battalion. In 2023, he joined the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and was appointed Head of the Press and Information Department.
