Biography of Ilya Durov

Ilya Durov is a vocalist of the band Dynamite. Over the past couple of months, the attention of the public has been focused on two people: Dima Bilan and the Dynamite group. It is not difficult to guess why. First, both projects experienced an unprecedented surge in popularity, with their music videos reaching the top of the charts, especially the group's "Moya Mi." Then, tragedy struck with the tragic death of former Dynamite vocalist Leonid Nerushenko, followed by the death of the famous producer Yuri Aizenshpis, who created these projects.

Ilya Durov, the 26-year-old vocalist of Dynamite, doesn't believe in fate or predestination. He had spoken to the producer the day before, and they had big plans. We decided to find out how the group and Ilya himself are doing.

The Rise of Dynamite

When asked about the sudden rise in popularity of their group over the past year, Ilya explains that they simply worked hard and never gave up, even when the tragic events occurred. They hadn't released a music video for a whole year before "Moya Mi," mainly because the company they worked with focused its efforts on Dima Bilan's project. Bilan was on the rise with big prospects, while Dynamite continued to work in their usual routine, performing at concerts and writing songs. However, Ilya mentions that awards are always desired, especially the monetary ones. He jokes about it but acknowledges that they didn't have anything worth winning this year, unlike Dima Bilan who rightfully received the recognition.

Coping with Tragedy

Ilya reflects on the difficult year for the group, particularly the month of September 2005 when tragedy struck with the deaths of Lenya and producer Yuri Aizenshpis. He admits that they had no premonitions because Lenya had been in accidents multiple times before, and Yuri had been hospitalized numerous times. They had both experienced ups and downs with their health. Ilya had called Yuri, and he sounded fine, but unfortunately, he couldn't make it to see him before he passed away. After the tragedies, there were rumors about who the group would work with, but Ilya mentions that they continue to work with the same company they worked with before. They don't have a specific producer, as they arrange and produce their own songs, seeking advice from professionals in the industry.

Light-hearted Moments

During the interview, Ilya also shares some light-hearted moments, such as their time in Vietnam shooting the music video for "Moya Mi." They enjoyed swimming in the ocean and rooting for CSKA (a Russian football team) during the UEFA Cup final. They celebrated CSKA's victory by throwing each other into the pool. When asked about their personal lives and relationships, Ilya mentions that his girlfriend is currently in India visiting her brother, while he continues to work. He explains that they have a good understanding and resolve conflicts calmly, although it can be frustrating for others. He emphasizes the importance of communication and resolving issues without resorting to throwing dishes.

The Multi-faceted Ilya

Ilya discusses the different personalities within the group, mentioning that Zudin is a romantic and emotionally attached to beautiful women, while Danila is sporty and enjoys building things with his own hands. Ilya considers himself moderately emotional and pragmatic, not devoid of emotions. He also mentions his love for extreme sports and talks about his interest in windsurfing and snowboarding. However, he acknowledges the risks involved and advises wearing protective gear to avoid injuries.

Harmony in Relationships

When it comes to relationships, Ilya believes that understanding each other is essential. He mentions that women can be affected by mood swings and may become upset over small things. He shares that he and his girlfriend have a good balance of romance, surprising each other with gifts, and small gestures of affection. Ilya mentions that he recently bought a cute phone case in the shape of a mouse, while his girlfriend bought him funny underwear with various designs. Although he doesn't always wear them, he finds pleasure in simply looking at them in the closet.
