Biography of Luca Barbarossa
Luca Barbarossa is an Italian singer and songwriter who gained recognition after participating in the Castrocaro Song Festival in 1980. His talent was noticed by a producer from the record company 'Fonit-Cetra', leading to a contract offer. In 1981, Barbarossa participated in the San Remo Festival, where he secured fourth place with his own song, 'Roma spogliata'.

Following the festival, Barbarossa released his debut album titled 'Luca Barbarossa' in the same year. He embarked on a nationwide tour to further enhance his popularity, but unfortunately, the album did not achieve much success. As a result, Barbarossa had to search for a new recording label. He found one in the Italian division of 'CBS', which decided to give the young talented singer another chance.

However, progress was slow, and Barbarossa's next album was released only in 1987, after his participation in the San Remo Festival in 1986 and 1987. Although he only secured 18th place in the first year, he improved to 9th place the following year. The album titled 'Come dentro un film' was released in 1987, featuring a song with the same name performed by Barbarossa at the festival.

In 1988, Barbarossa celebrated several significant events in his career. He released his third album, 'Non tutti gli uomini', and achieved his highest ranking in the San Remo Festival, securing 3rd place with the song 'L'amore rubato'. Additionally, he represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Vivo (Ti scrivo)' and finished in 12th place out of 21 contestants.
Throughout the 1990s, Barbarossa continued his musical journey with four studio albums and one live album. He participated in the San Remo Festival again in 1992, performing a song dedicated to his mother. In total, Barbarossa has appeared in the festival eight times, including his most recent participation in 2011, where he finished in 8th place.
Barbarossa's discography consists of more than a dozen albums. However, his greatest recognition and audience love came after his participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.
