Spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Education and Military CareerIlya Olehovich Yevlash was born in Mena, Ukraine, and graduated from Taras Shevchenko High School in 2013. He pursued higher education at the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, majoring in Advertising and Public Relations. Additionally, he graduated from the National Defense Academy of Ukraine in Political Science and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in Journalism in 2019.
Yevlash commenced his military service as a senior public relations officer within the Command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He later led the public relations department of the grouping of forces and defense assets in the city of Kharkiv and the press service of the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces "Khortitsa."
Appointment as Spokesperson
On March 15, 2024, Yevlash was appointed Head of the Public Relations Service of the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, pursuant to Order No. 480 of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. His appointment commenced on March 18, 2024.
