Biography of Iman Maleki

Iman Maleki was born in 1976 in Tehran, Iran. From a young age, he was passionate about painting, and his only teacher was the renowned Iranian artist Mortezā Kātouziān. It is noteworthy that Maleki started learning painting relatively late, at the age of 15, proving that it's never too late to unleash one's talent.

In 1999, Maleki graduated from the Fine Arts Faculty of the University of Tehran, specializing in graphic design. Even while still a student, he participated in several Iranian and international exhibitions starting from 1998. Maleki is a realist artist, and his paintings can even be described as hyperrealistic. His works captivate many, with people on his canvases appearing astonishingly lifelike, and the subjects leaving a lasting impression on viewers.

Maleki's paintings depict Iranians, his fellow countrymen. They portray boys, girls, men, women, and families. Each of his characters seems caught in a moment when they are completely engrossed in themselves, which is why Maleki's paintings are often compared to photographs. Indeed, the photographic precision of the artist is truly impressive. Some of his well-known paintings include "The Old Album," "The Emigrant," "The Signs of Hafez," "The Girl at the Mirror," and others.

It is known that in 2000, Iman Maleki got married, and a year later, in 2001, he opened his own painting studio called "Ạrā Painting Studio." Here, he began teaching painting using classical techniques and drawing from the culture and traditional values of his country. Maleki has participated in various events, including an exhibition of realist artists in the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art and a studio artists exhibition at the SABZ gallery.

Furthermore, Iman Maleki has received several national and international awards in the field of art and painting, including "The William Bouguereau Award" and the "Chairman's Choice Award."
