Early Life and EducationBorn in Austria, the exceptional pianist discovered his musical talent at an early age. Initially trained as a violinist, he transitioned to the piano at the age of 14. In 2005, he graduated from the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz and continued his studies at the Vienna Academy of Music under the tutelage of Adam Harasiewicz and Idil Biret.
International Recognition
At just 19 years old, Wunder made his mark in the international music scene, winning prestigious awards including first prize at the Steinway Piano Competition in Hamburg in 1999. In 2007, he participated in the prestigious Tchaikovsky International Competition, where critics hailed him as "the most paradoxical pianist" and "a true wonder" in his Mozart performance.

Despite universal praise for his artistry, Wunder was not selected for the second round of the Tchaikovsky Competition, a decision that sparked controversy. However, he continued to impress audiences and critics with his fresh and vibrant interpretations.
