Biography of Irina Gribulina

Composer, Singer

Irina Gribulina's biography is perhaps more fascinating than "Gangster Petersburg," "Brigade," and "Just Maria" combined. At the age of four, Irina was already writing poetry and music and performing on the stage in her hometown of Sochi. She was so successful that her talented mother decided to dedicate herself entirely to raising her daughter. She believed that Irina should receive her education only in Moscow, specifically at the Central Music School of the Conservatory, which was intended for exceptionally gifted children. It was impossible to get accepted there without connections. However, the nine-year-old provincial girl surpassed the children of famous and high-ranking parents in the selection competition and was enrolled in Dmitry Kabalevsky's class. They lived wherever they could: moving from one rental to another, staying with friends for a week or two, and sometimes staying in hotels. To make ends meet, Irina's mother, overcoming her pride, worked as a cleaner for her former classmates, who were now famous actresses. Meanwhile, the child prodigy was conquering Moscow. She participated in many radio and television shows and hosted the famous program "Budilnik" from the age of 14. No respectable concert was complete without her. As a student at the conservatory, Irina befriended Arkady Raikin (wrote music for his plays), writer Fyodor Abramov, and playwright Alexey Arbuzov. Many of Moscow's celebrities showed unmistakable signs of interest in the beautiful fair-haired blue-eyed girl with charming dimples. Nevertheless, she married a student only because she lost her innocence, and her mother raised her with strictness.

This marriage, like many student marriages, was not strong and ended after three months. Irina found shelter with the famous film director Evgeny Ginzburg. At that time, she worked a lot, besides writing songs, she composed music for Larisa Golubkina's benefit concert. Gribulina's songs were performed not only by pop singers but also by dramatic artists such as Sergey Shakurov, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Alexander Abdulov, and Nikolai Yeremenko. "Darling, could you help me a little bit!" - she sang in "Morning Post" in duet with Nikolai Karachentsov. The first music videos in the country were made for her songs. During this time, she fell in love with the son of an influential official from the Ministry of Heavy Industry. After a year of beautiful and decent courtship, Irina agreed to marry him. They lived a cloudless and happy life. And then, like thunder from a clear sky, came the shocking news. It turned out that her husband combined his service in the ministry with an underground business of smuggling antiques abroad under his father's protection. When Interpol became interested in him, her husband went on the run, and nothing is known about his fate to this day. But Irina had to pay for her ex-husband's sins in full. She experienced threats, attacks by shady characters, and other trials and tribulations. She even lay tied up on the floor while her apartment was being searched. However, she still looks back on the years spent with this man with warmth.

Having recovered from the shock, Gribulina continued her composer work and went on many tours. Once in Jurmala, a dandy approached her in a white limousine. It was impossible not to fall in love with him: delicate facial features, long fingers, muscular build, and terrible audacity. This macho literally abducted Irina and settled her in his tiny house on the coast of the Baltic Sea. The handsome man turned out to be an ordinary photographer in a fishing village and... a sadist. Unfulfilled as a person, unrealized, he couldn't forgive Irina for her popularity, concerts, and good fees. He also couldn't stand the television, where she was constantly shown. He ruthlessly beat her in the stomach and spine, cut her hands, and smashed her face. Irina endured it for ten years because she was madly in love with this beast. She still insists that those were Italian passions. With her money, a luxurious three-story mansion with a swimming pool and a small farm was built. She sincerely wanted her husband to start a business. But he didn't want to work. He wanted more. For example, he wanted Irina to perform under his last name, not her own. He dreamed of appearing on "Blue Lights" and "The Song of the Year."

When she was five months pregnant, brutally beaten and with a severe spinal injury, she ended up in the hospital. The result was terrible - she lost the baby. After being discharged, with no money, Irina fled to Moscow, to her tiny one-room apartment in Tushino. She had to tell her friends the truth. They sympathized and promised to help, but it ended there. However, once, a certain producer asked for a meeting: charmed her, promised bright prospects. And the next morning, the doorbell rang. As soon as she opened it, the hostess immediately lost consciousness - she was hit hard on the head. She woke up beaten, locked in the bathroom, with her mouth taped shut. The thieves acted on the tip-off of that same "producer" - they were looking for diamonds. And unfortunately, they found them. Gribulina was once again left alone and without a penny.

At the age of 40, she started her life from scratch once again. Work, tours, traveling. A handsome young man started courting her, but after a few meetings, Irina rejected him. And a month later, sitting in a recording studio, she suddenly felt a sudden illness. She went to the doctor and heard, "You're pregnant." It was unreal, unbelievable. Nevertheless, at the age of 43, Irina Gribulina, defying all enemies, gave birth to her daughter, Nastya. Now she is the happiest woman.
