Early Life and Dance Beginnings

Irina Lysenko, born on June 9, 1994, in Kyiv, Ukraine, was introduced to ballroom dance at the tender age of seven. Her parents hoped to instill in her graceful posture and movement, a dream of her mother's that had been unfulfilled. Little did they know that dance would eventually become Irina's chosen profession.

Dance Career

On the dance floor, Irina discovered not only confidence but an immense joy. She excelled in ballroom styles such as tango, samba, rumba, and Viennese waltz. However, her dance journey took a turn when she embraced contemporary dance, which eventually led her to join the Kozar Dance Theatre, founded by Vasyl Kozar, the winner of Season 4 of the Ukrainian dance show "Everybody Dance!"

Television Breakthrough

In 2013, 19-year-old Irina auditioned for the sixth season of "Everybody Dance!" showcasing her ballroom dance skills. While she made it to the top 100, she didn't advance to the live rounds. Nonetheless, the experience ignited her passion for contemporary dance, and she spent the next year honing her skills in this genre.

The following season, Irina returned with a captivating performance in contemporary dance that impressed the judges, including legendary Ukrainian dance figures Tatyana Denisova, Vlad Yama, and Radu Poklitaru. Despite not making it to the final 20, she left a lasting impression on viewers.

"Dances on TNT" and International Recognition

In 2016, Irina ventured to Moscow for the third season of the Russian dance show "Dances on TNT." With her newfound pink hair and masterful performance, she caught the attention of judge Miguel. Her contemporary dance routine, accompanied by the song "Inye" by Eurovision winner Jamala, also drew praise from Egor Druzhinin. Ultimately, Miguel selected Irina for his team, making the third season of the show a truly international affair.

Personal Life

Irina remains tight-lipped about her romantic life, revealing only that she resides in Kyiv and dedicates every spare moment to developing her dance skills.
