Biography of Irina Sashina

Irina Sashina was born in a military family in the Leningrad region of Russia, specifically in Gatchina. She completed her studies at the prestigious Lomonosov Moscow State University, graduating with honors from the second faculty. She then pursued three higher educations at the Institute for the Advanced Training of TV and Radio Workers, where she studied under the guidance of I. Kirillova and D. Grigoryeva. Irina holds a Ph.D. in Philology and is a linguist and international economist. She has also studied in England and Japan.

Her career in Russian television began in 1997, and before that, she earned the title of "Miss MSU-1995" and worked as an executive director for the MSU Support Fund for two years. From 1999 to 2004, Irina worked as a correspondent and host of the daily program "Data" on TV Tsentr channel. In 2004, she resumed her collaboration with TV Tsentr and became the host and chief editor of the program "Delovaya Moskva" from 2004 to 2011. In addition, from April to September 2011, she served as the head of the economic and legal department, as well as the author and host of the segment "Useful Economics" within the morning channel "Nastroenie."

Irina also worked on other television channels concurrently. From 2009 to 2010, she appeared as an economic commentator on NTV channel, and from January to December 2010, she held the position of general producer at the "Doverie" channel (MTC, TV CAO). Since September 2011, Irina Sashina has been the host of the program "Novosti 24" on REN TV channel.

Throughout her career, Irina has received recognition for her work. She was awarded a special prize at the "Golden Mercury 2009" awards and received the diploma for "Most Charming TV Presenter." She also holds a diploma from the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for her contribution to promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Outside of her professional life, Irina Sashina enjoys mountain skiing and playing tennis. She is married and has three sons, as well as a parrot named Ritchie and a Doberman named "Graf."
