Biography of Irma Nioradze

Irma Nioradze is a Principal Ballerina of the Mariinsky Theatre. She was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, and showed great talent in ballet from an early age. After completing her education at the Tbilisi Choreographic School in 1987, she continued her training at the Leningrad Choreographic School, where she was taught by renowned teachers such as Serafima Vekua and Vakhtang Chebukiani.

In 1989, Nioradze joined the Tbilisi Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, where she performed leading roles in ballets such as "Giselle" and "Serenade". Her exceptional skills and artistry caught the attention of the international ballet community, and in 1990, she became a laureate of the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, USA.

Nioradze continued to expand her artistic horizons through various internships and collaborations. She had the opportunity to train in the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen and participate in the production "Nina Ananiashvili and her Friends" in 1991. This further enriched her experience and broadened her range as a ballet dancer.

Since 1992, Irma Nioradze has been a Principal Ballerina at the Mariinsky Theatre. Under the guidance of Olga Moiseeva and Ninel Kurgapkina, she has continued to develop her technical and artistic abilities. Her performances in ballets such as "Giselle," "Don Quixote," and "Symphony in C Major" have been highly acclaimed for their flawless technique and expressive interpretation.
