Born and raised in Russia and the Soviet Union, exhibited widely in both countries.

Education

- Graduated from the Kiev Art School in 1912, where he studied under A.A. Murashko and I.F. Selivanov.

- Continued his studies at the Petrograd VKhUTEMAS from 1912 to 1923, under the guidance of D.N. Kardovsky and I.I. Tvorzhnikov.

Exhibitions

- Participated in exhibitions of the New Society of Artists (1917) and the Moscow Society of Artists (1917).

- Notably featured in the Jubilee Exhibition "Artists of the RSFSR for 15 Years" (1932-1933).

Book Illustration and Crimea Series

- In the 1930s, delved into book illustration, creating illustrations for Mark Twain's novel "Tom Sawyer."

- Traveled to Crimea during the 1930s, where he produced a series of lithographs depicting the lives of Crimean collective farmers.
