Early Career and International Debut
Born in Lublin, Poland, Jacek Bąk debuted as a defender for his hometown club Motor Lublin at the age of 16. Two years later, he joined Lech Poznań and won the Polish Championship title in his first season with the club. Bąk's impressive performances caught the attention of the national team, and he made his international debut in a friendly match against Cyprus in 1993.
Transfer to France and Club Success
In 1995, Bąk moved to France to join Lyon. During his five seasons with the club, he played in over 110 matches. He then spent another three and a half seasons with Lens before departing for Qatar in 2005. Bąk played for Al-Rayyan until 2007, when he returned to Europe to sign with Austria Wien.
International Career and Major Tournaments
Bąk represented Poland at the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cups, as well as the 2008 UEFA European Championship. He captained the team during the latter tournament.
